This is a big event in every sense, and Liverpool City Council's Culture Liverpool team want to make sure as many people as possible get involved in the run up, during and after the show.

They are working in partnership with other council teams and external organisations to deliver an education and participation programme that aims to bring together the entire city in memory of the events which took place between 1914 and 1918.

If you are planning on organising an event to coincide with the commemorations, please download the form and email it back to us.

Dramatic Drummers

Drumming has traditionally been part of the march to war, keeping time and creating a fierce presence in the Giant Spectacular this was recreated with a dramatic twist; the drummers were positioned on top of two cars and driven at speed.
The drummers were local musicians Francisco Carrasco, Tristain Brady-Jacobs, Julianne Landim, Nugyen Green and Robert Lewis, their presence brought great excitement and a strong beat to the weekend long performance.
Angela Preston 'Spectacular!'
Mistys Mam 'Fabulous and what a way to make sure that everyone could see them!'
‘The highlight of the weekend was the amazing reaction of the crowds on the final parade on Sunday 27th July it was a truly unique experience.’
Francisco Carrasco
